Adéle Sciarone (1969) is a contemporary South African painter and sculptor, residing in Delft, Netherlands. She grew up in South Africa and studied fine arts at the University of Pretoria. In 2007, she moved to the Netherlands. In 2009, she began sculpting in addition to painting. And since 2023, she has been creating her stone sculptures in her studio, which she shares with Nancy Hoogstad, in Schiedam.
Her work often focuses on the seemingly small moments in life, the things that make you focus on what makes life worthwhile, things that reflect the love for life. Her paintings are beautifully structured, and each painting is full of depth and color. Her sculptures, mostly female figures, are crafted with great care from the stones she works with, and the sculptures reflect her love for her daughters. Some themes you find in her work are strength and vulnerability, nature and spirituality.
